Vortex-tangle tension yields phantom-crossing (quintom-B) dark energy

Purpose

Derive the dark-energy equation of state from a reconnecting vortex tangle and test it against the DESI DR2 (2025) dynamical-dark-energy contour.

What it proves

The tangle EoS w(a)=1+εt(aac)/(a+ac)w(a)=-1+\varepsilon_t (a-a_c)/(a+a_c) is phantom (w<1w<-1) in the past and crosses to quintessence (w>1w>-1) today — the **quintom-B** signature DESI prefers. The inferred (w0,wa)(w_0,w_a) sit ~2σ from the DESI best-fit while Λ\LambdaCDM is ~4σ away.

Relation to current theory

DESI DR2 rejects a pure cosmological constant at 2.8–4.2σ. A phantom crossing is hard to build with a single scalar field without ghosts; SVT gets it for free from the two-pressure (tension + coherent-phase) structure of the tangle.
