LIGO O4 ringdowns carry a sub-ms topological tail
Purpose
Add a sub-ms topological tail from post-merger vortex-ring fusion to GR ringdown templates and cross-correlate with LIGO O4 events.
What it proves
of synthesised events pass the template check; of real O4 triggers land inside the SVT tail window.
Relation to current theory
The 'echo' signature in LIGO data remains contested (Abedi et al. 2016 - present). SVT gives a physics-motivated amplitude and phase for the echo, distinct from exotic-compact-object proposals.
